Albemarle is seeking an on-site Chemical Operator to join its Taichung, Taiwan facility. This role focuses on ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant chemical production operations while following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company regulations. The position emphasizes safety, process accuracy, and teamwork in a dynamic chemical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure plant operations comply with company standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements
- Execute production activities following SOPs and process schedules
- Wear proper PPE and prioritize safety for self and coworkers
- Monitor equipment and process parameters continuously
- Record production parameters accurately and maintain production logs
- Notify supervisors immediately of deviations or unsafe conditions
- Collect samples for laboratory analysis and quality assurance
- Conduct routine equipment safety checks (e.g., earthing, lifts, safety showers)
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the workplace
- Perform first-level equipment maintenance and assist the maintenance team in troubleshooting
- Develop competence over time:
- First 6 months: Understand basic production processes, independently handle general filling and lithium preparation tasks
- First 3 years: Add site inspections, independent operation of all processes, troubleshooting, and filter cleaning
- First 8 years: Include utility operation, turnaround task leadership, emergency response, and training of new staff
- Operate hazardous equipment like forklifts and cranes with valid certification
Qualifications
Required:
- Education or background in chemistry or chemical-related field
Preferred:
- 1–2 years of experience in the chemical industry
- Ability to use AutoCAD to create and modify P&ID diagrams is a plus
